Chiefs eliminate North

Chiefs stay alive in Sydney as they upset and eliminate North, 16-13, on Nuke.
The first pistol round started with a fast plant by Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, who got out of squeaky and down vents without being challenged, but Chiefs were able to get five swift kills losing a single player and defused the bomb to take the early lead. A lead that didn’t last long, however, as North secured another B plant during a force buy and were able to defend it.
With the economic advantage, North quickly took the reins of the game, and got the momentum going for a 4-1 lead after the first gun round. Chiefs weren’t going to let it run away, though, and two M4 kills by Joshua "INS" Potter and two p250 kills by Peter "pecks" Nguyen gave the Australians their second round.
The CTs got immediately reset, though, and the Danes of North then started to run away with the match, playing aggressively, taking battles, and showing their superiority throughout, and closed the half out 10-5.
Chiefs beat the odds and knocked North out of play in Sydney
A big pistol round by Liam "malta" Schembri, who got four headshots, gave Chiefs the first point tallied in the second half, and the Australians were then able to win the first gun round to get the game within one, 10-9. Not willing to give up their lead, though, North won the following round with just one m4 and pistols.
Chiefs then won the following round, as Alistair "aliStair" Johnston was able to win a 1vs2 after plant on B, resetting the Danish team. Chiefs won against North’s force buy and tied it, 11-11. For the first time since the first round of the match, Chiefs took the lead after winning the anti-eco, 12-11.
With a 13-11 lead, Chiefs made a chief mistake, and lost a round against a force buy by not checking their corners and missing the opportunity to plant before the time ran out. The following round, however, they were able to bring it back with one of their many upper executes for a 14-12 lead.
Once again North were able to hold on by winning another force buy as Chiefs tried to sneak into A site. With 14-13 on the board, Chiefs won a forcebuy of their own in large part thanks to two deagle kills by INS and three by pecks to make it to match point. Finally, Chiefs held strong in the last round, and aliStair won a 1vs1 against k0nfig to knock the danes out, 16-13.
